Bring a weapon that can cause slash procs, mod it with Life Strike, and Banish one enemy that you don't intend to outright kill.
Run your Stasis and that mitigates the issue.Įnemies in Stasis will have their status procs halted. The flaw in this is that your Cataclysm is not a safety zone anymore since everything reasonably nearby will be rifted and can shoot into it from outside of it. This also takes care of enemies that are ambiguously on the edge, so you know they are indeed rifted. As the Cataclysm dwindles past them, they'll re-rift themselves and anyone nearby, so you can continue to shoot them while you're in your Cataclysm.
