However I have found it helpful to focus on the functional description or grouping of a particular component required to "drill down" (there's NO "Thingy" group) Since that "Y" group may NOT be obvious to most, you could get there by selecting "M: Electric motors, drive units >" and then M6035 Electric Coolant Pump, since you know they are on the same circuit.Ĥ) OR you could simply enter "Thermostat" in the search box at the top-right of the first screen, and then select the wiring diagram related to YOUR model (N55). The Thermostat is actually in the group "Y Electro-mechanical components > and its ID# on the schematic is Y6279. Thermostat Circuit for 2011 335i E92 N55:ġ) At the opening screen for your vehicle, you have 4 choices select "Electrical Components / Connectors>"Ģ) At the next screen, you have 2 choices select "Components>"ģ) The next screen gives 19 different choices, grouped based upon the "Type" of component.

This code has been there for well over a year but I have no idea where to begin trouble shooting it. I am also having this problem with my 2011 N55 e92 335i. TIS circuit diagrams are interactive, and if you click on any BLUE component ID# you can get more information on that component, such as "Installation Location" or "Connector View." If you have an "open circuit" for the Thermostat, as sensed by the DME, I would check F02 and then check the Connector at the Thermostat, X6279, Pin#1, Orange wire, for 12V+, and if that is OK, check for continuity of White wire between Pin#2 of X6279 and the DME, Pin#19 of Connector X60007. Note Fuse F02, 30 Amp (in the E-box), which provides power BOTH to the Thermostat and to the Coolant Pump Control. The Thermostat is " Y6279"on the right side of the schematic, next to the Coolant Pump ( M6035). Should i replace the waterpump/thermostat? when the temps get up to 220 degrees it cools back down. come to find out that code really means a thermostat issue? my code scanner is telling me it saying its a cruise control issue!! Now i monitor my coolant temp like a hawk, it doesnt over heat. today i responded to a thread related to that issue and decided to google it. Hey guys i had this code for awhile, i was thinking it is related to the intermittent cruise control issue i was having but didnt think anything of it cause i consider it minor.
